OS NAME: AVLinux

OS Link: http://www.bandshed.net/avlinux/

OS Description: AV Linux MX Edition (AVL-MXE) is a downloadable and installable shared snapshot ISO image file of my own personal Audio/Video Workstation Operating System based on the incomparable MX Linux with many additional customizations and tweaks. Currently AVL-MXE is my own Respin and is not an official variant of antiX/MX. This is a project I have been actively working on and refining since about 2007 and it is prepared and pre-configured to allow you to 'Install and Create'. It is really intended to just be that simple, an AV Content Creation system prepared and shared by someone with practical experience in setting such things up. As its sole maintainer I don’t claim to have any unique credentials as a Linux System Administrator and am merely doing this in my spare time as a hobby. That said countless hours of time and work have been invested in setting it up as effectively as possible. It should be looked at as a 'Custom Shop' OS… a little off the beaten path but well worth checking out!

OS NAME: Absolute

OS Link: https://www.absolutelinux.org/

OS Description: Absolute is a 64-bit Linux distribution based upon Slackware. It concentrates on 'desktop' use so that it is ready for internet, multimedia, document and general home use out of the box. Absolute is lightweight -- meaning 2 things: that it can run on on modest hardware and that the OS interface stays out of your way... but includes the latest software like: Kodi, Inkscape, GIMP, LibreOffice, Google Earth, Google-Chrome, Calibre, etc. It is version-compatible with Slackware so you can use almost any package from the same version of Slack on Absolute. Development libraries (headers) for everything installed are always included, so you can code and/or build almost anything from source. It is what I use all day, every day, and I am very thankful for Linux and Slackware and I hope others find benefit from my work on Absolute.

OS NAME: ArchLinux

OS Link: https://archlinux.org/

OS Description: Arch Linux defines simplicity as without unnecessary additions or modifications. It ships software as released by the original developers (upstream) with minimal distribution-specific (downstream) changes: patches not accepted by upstream are avoided, and Arch's downstream patches consist almost entirely of backported bug fixes that are obsoleted by the project's next release. In a similar fashion, Arch ships the configuration files provided by upstream with changes limited to distribution-specific issues like adjusting the system file paths. It does not add automation features such as enabling a service simply because the package was installed. Packages are only split when compelling advantages exist, such as to save disk space in particularly bad cases of waste. GUI configuration utilities are not officially provided, encouraging users to perform most system configuration from the shell and a text editor.
